It’s always a challenge for storytellers and directors to come up with hard-hitting social causes encapsulated in simplistic outtakes. More so even, when the said stories revolve around women expressing their hardships, and striving to be free of all the societal strings which adamantly pull them down and pin them to the wall. This where a movie such as “Sita On The Road” becomes important. The debut feature of filmmaker Praneeth Yaron, is an inspiring take on five lives which are become intertwined and discover themselves in the process. With more regional reminiscence of the 2015 acclaimed movie “The Angry Indian Goddess”, “Sita On The Road” stands tall in a plethora of meaningless jabs which we term as blockbuster hits. The premise within the teaser is full of promise, and we have only great things to expect out of it.
