The Story Behind The String: Most music bands derive their name from historical relevance in their music or some kind of rebellious epiphany. Interestingly, Marcus Finds A Gun derives its name from the hit pop single ‘Lean On’.  “One day Rohit played the song and Eddy heard the lyrics and thought they read, “Marcus, find a gun. All we need is somebody to lean on”. He didn’t believe it so he made him play it a second time. Around about the same time, we were about to do our first show in Vizag (Visakhapatnam) and were still looking for a name. We decided to go with Marcus Find A Gun and the name stuck from there on” the band explains the story.
The band like most top music bands across the nation is a cross-genre collective with their offerings in Pop, Rock, Classic, Reggae, Funk, and Blues. Be sure to check out their band music. The Story Behind The String: The Songsmiths. Well first off it’s such a good name (I was actually thinking that this is such a self-explanatory name that you don’t even need a story). Anyway, that’s the thing with most music bands. They have these quirky names which make you sit up and take notice. A look at their page we get to know their story. ” Three different individuals, three different entities, three different styles in an almost meticulous unification has given birth to a diligent desire to make music and fill the passionate perforation.

A juxtaposition of three tastes blended into an organic whole. The very urge to create a sound to which people would love to dance, think, feel and dance again”. What can we ask more? Any music worth dancing is always magical. And The Songsmiths love doing that. Check out the following presentation.

It taps into the nostalgic pulse by reprising and sometimes recreating old classics. They come across as a breath of fresh air, in their recreation. And the best part, since chances are ripe that you might be aware of these songs, and its lyrics, the audience participation is the highest. Relatability is this band’s biggest asset.

They bring old classics of Telugu or Hindi into a new modern retelling, and they do so with a melodious and mellifluous arrangement.  “We are a classical fusion band where we blend different genres to bring a different aroma to our music” describes Capricio about the music it brings out week after week. Although we couldn’t get our hands on their live gigs, we took the liberty to show you their individual musical prowess via this video.

With unceasing momentum, a staccato delivery, and bucket-loads of power, ‘Centuries of Decadence’ is touted to be one of most notable albums to ever come out from the region” says the description for the hard metal music band, Godless which is going all ruthless on stage culture in this city.
